6350 sq. ft site at a prime residential colony in Kolhapur. The plot has only 1 road access and is in the centre of a heavily built area around.
This was a challenge as to create a privacy inside the plot from a few multi-storied apartments and also private residences.
To be designed for an extended family.

Following the concept of the client & demand for contextual force, the concept was to create views within the site while shrouding off poorly laid out and constricted concrete jungle beyond this site.
So the form of the whole design was created to get views to a centralised space and get forests cape views within the site blocking outside view.
It is practically impossible to see inside the home from surroundings because of the addition of vertical green-scape despite of providing large windows.
Ducts are provided and planned for all the plumbing electrical and HVAC services and is designed in fabrication which adds to the aesthetical element of the elevation.
RESULT
Large windows and openings allow all spaces from inside to look out in the garden and common areas in case of social gatherings.
Landscape was an essential part of the design and we have incorporated not only in the garden outside but also in the balconies and deck areas. Vertically near the duct areas as well.
To create privacy on the side where it can be compromised we have used glass bricks which not only looks aesthetic but also brings in ambient light maintaining privacy.
Together, the building with a unique railing design and use of huge openings & balconies with lush greenery allows us to play with light and shadow in the interiors.
